Not that it truly matters at this point in time, but I always thought that Cryme Tyme were an underappreciated WWE act and much more could have been done with them - particularly Shad Gaspard, who had the look of being a top star.
It was unfortunate that Shad, who by all indications wasn't the backstage heat magnet his partner JTG, was let go by WWE when he was. Instead, he could have an upper-midcard singles star and beyond that, who knows?
This situation is just so unfortunate and there's not much more to be said beyond that. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and fans.
