Here's hoping tonight's portion isn't delayed by Roman... ahem, Rains.
Well.... the opening match between Randy Orton was absolute shit. That’s the best thing I could say about it. What a terrible choice for an opener, and even a worse finish.
Natalya and Tamina vs. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax was about as good as one could have expected... which is to say not very. But at least they got the crappy matches out of the way early? Meh.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn had a greatest hits in their match, which was a ton of fun and some very scary looking spots.... but the finish was a tad disappointing. Still, I’ll take it.
Riddle Vs. Sheamus was fine and they didn’t overstay their welcome. Some cool spots.
I really enjoyed Big E vs Apollo Crews - a fun brawl and probably the best Nigerian Drum Fight I’ve seen in years. The finish was a little odd, but I didn't mind the reintroduction of Dabba Kato. And Apollo was one of my darkhorse picks to win!
Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley never really got going (to my mind) and was the first true disappointment on this show. Just really didn't get into it for whatever reason.
Daniel Bryan vs. Edge vs. Roman Reigns truly delivered, even if they could have easily gone another 10 minutes or so. All three had a phenomenal performance and gelled together well. Some may be upset by Roman closing the show with the title, but it made sense for a number of reasons.
Night Two wasn't nearly as fun as Night One, but I can't say I didn't enjoy the return of live wrestling.
