WWE Toronto Live Event

The Big Rybowski, seven year-old Roman Zane and I headed out to the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto for WWE's Holiday Tour live event not knowing what the main event was going to be and in fact, not knowing what any of the matches were, either.

Part of that has just become WWE's style in recent years for house shows, where they don't announce everything ahead of time. But part of it was injuries and a smaller Raw roster than normal. AJ Styles is supposedly injured, Matt Riddle is suspended, and Kevin Owens was working a match on SmackDown this same night.

Thus, the main event kept changing. Originally, we heard it would be Seth Freakin Rollins vs. Matt Riddle vs. Bobby Lashley in a steel cage. That changed to Rollins vs. Lashley and then, just two days ago, Rollins vs. AJ Styles. What we ended up getting was a cage match between Rollins and Finn Balor.

I'm not complaining, mind you. The main event was a fantastic back-and-forth cage match that featured interference from both The Judgment Day and Rollins' wife Becky Lynch. The rest of the matches were decent, too, including an impromptu tag team match featuring Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis against The Miz and Baron Corbin, and the opening match between Lynch and Bianca Belair (spoiled by an interfering Bayley).

Interestingly, the crowd actually look more full here than it did when AEW ran Dynamite in the same building a few months ago.

Below are match results, followed by some photos of the event. WWE also announced it will be returning to Toronto in March for a SmackDown "Road To WrestleMania" event.
